Charlie Pride does this song GREAT, but Alan Jackson that little twang in his voice that makes this version remarkable and memorable.

he did and awesome job but nothing will be as good as Charlie.. he is the one and only original... being born in the 80's I grew up with Charlie and at least Alan Jackson done a decent job of it not like these ones that rip it off completely and ruin it for all of us who enjoy 'golden classics'

Conway, George Jones, and Alan did great versions but nothing is like the original. And you got to take it as a good thing because when an artist re-does a song, its because they adore the song.
