Guys... PLEASE start putting these videos (or any videos anyway) into the Nokia Video Center feed! There's only so many times I can download the promo for the E90 on my mobile.

Someone gave me the thumbs down above. Here is the problem: I own an unlocked E71. The hardware is solid. But the UI is absolutely atrocious. Maybe in Finland, the design is good. But here in the US, we don't like our calendar entries bleeding from one line to the next. We don't like not seeing all our inboxes.  We don't like useless 'dual profile' home screens.

I like my Nokia better than WinMo, but it is a transition device to another, real smart phone with a good UI.

So why is the E71 Home Screen designed so poorly? Why do the colors and icons look like they were designed by 80's-era Soviets?

Software design is the achilles heal of Nokia devices. Out of the box, it looks horrible.

Es cierto, todos los Nokia tienen la interfaz gráfica muy pobre, están a 2 o 3 años de distancia con respecto a Sony, por ejemplo apenas están implementando los efectos de transiciones siendo que muchos otros fabricantes ya lo tenían integrado en todas sus series y aunque se puede solucionar con el sólo hecho de incluirlo en las actualizaciones de software no lo hacen. Es la pregunta que nos hacemos muchos, si fue posible con la V30 del N81 por qué no hacerlo con todos los Nseries?
