1:40 "He`s gay"...

@chryslerman - I guess that makes sense as Chekov was indeed a bridge officer.
-
@TRUMPER007 -- Kirk left Chekov in command of the ship for 2 reasons. 1> He's a bridge officer in the line of command and would be in line after Spock and Sulu (both were with Kirk at the time) and 2> Scotty was needed to work on the Transporter and other ship board issues at the time, precluding him from being on the bridge for any length of time.

lol yeah scotty should've had command i mean. it's scotty lol

@MrHoppers002 Huh? Kirk ordered Chekov to position the camera in front of the ship when the Klingons fired...hmmm...ok...
-
it's simple. kirk gave command to chekov.

@Obasiliasfilosofos I agree with the original angle on the bird of prey was more menacing. While I agree that the warping effect looks like the Enterprise is crawling to warp, I disagree with being further away. I think you change the angle slightly on the bird of prey to be more toward the bow, then you position the camera behind the Enterprise and have her warp away like the last shot in ST 2009.

B! as in barricade dumbass!

@TRUMPER007 Kirk left Chekov in command. It's that simple.

Better than the actual move. Script flaws or not I wish they'd remaster this one
Now that is a tall ship I'd like to steer. 5 Stars :)
These enhancements are very good, and I hope to see more.
Only things I would change:
0:16 I must admit that the original angle in ST5 was better. The ship looked more terrifying then.
2:47 Try with a shot a bit further away from the ship, so you can see the torpedo a lot sooner. Also the warp effect there looks as if the Enterprise is crawling to warp. From further away you have more room for an acceleration effect.

Enhancing the FX wouldn't really save this movie, Its deeply rooted flaws come from the script itself.
Still Ive seen far worse films...
