The thoughts and the feelings that one has in the darkness are just as significant as those which manifest in the light, and they too need to be expressed. This is an original song of mine called "Shadows," which was the title track of my now-defunct second album. The flute featured is my mid-A red cedar flute made by the great Leroy Cully, augmented with a Roland Mobile Cube amplifier. The setting is a certain screened-in back porch in Las Cruces, NM during a breezy and nigh-stormy night. Please ignore the sound of something loudly falling over near the end of the song. :P

Original music and performance by Stephen Cumberworth.

  • Lanovran, this was wonderfully played. It's amazing how you make it happen. Have you ever thought about trying to play Sir Duke (cover) of Najee?

  • @tdcmoncton

Can't say I'm familiar with that tune.
