Philip and Melanie 3/18/2010 pt1 (Philip is the man!)

I think I swooned after this episode. Philip Kiriakis, that cold and broken man for so many years, finally let the ice melt and let himself love someone completely. The way Philip loves Melanie just makes me so sappy and girlie. He is at his romantic best in this one. It it not candles and fancy gifts that show love, it is the little things. Like holding someone when they need support, sacrificing comfort to make the other person happy, willingness to risk life and limb for love. I adore Philip. I am so happy the show wrote him this wonderful love story. I hope they make it through all the pain and angst to come.

That whole day was just so magical. From the time they got engaged, until he found out about that letter, Philip was just so perfect. Proved everyone who said he wouldn't be supportive enough, or patient enough was wrong. Now, they've both made mistakes, but I still believe that they love each other, and they can make it through this.

Days would be a pretty bad soap if they didn't make it through this. After all this build up and struggle just to get together, why would the writers have then throw in the towel? She is the first person in so many years that has made him willing to open his heart completely. I will be one pissed fan if they throw all that growth out. It will be hard and painful, but it seems to me they can make it. It will be good tv.

I simply adore Philip in these scenes. He is so Perfect compassionate, strong, nurturing and very loving. When he said he wished He could have taken that Bullet for Mel it was such a profound statement because Philip knows the pain and misery that a bullet can bring. He is the man.

I LOVE PHILIP the way he loves a woman is so sweet and selfless every woman needs a Philip in their life. He's a little bit of a bad boy but a good man at heart and Melanie definitley deserved him!
