@nevashiva Well, I do want abortion as an option. But I'd prefer emergency contraception, which is something different. I can't really understand the rest of your message. You seem to be rambling. I'm not surprised you have trouble understanding science.

@MsMirrorMirror where did you pull that from? it works either this way or the other, and it is proven, what is not feasible to really know is which step did the plan b terminate the pregnancy by?, and you guys are so contradicting, pick a side its either the zygote dying is not a big deal, or plan b just plain out doesn't do it, why can't people who don't want to pay for screwing up with contraception say, yes I want abortion as an option instead all of this contrived stuff.

Yes, because a zygote not being able to reach implantation is such a tragedy. It is certainly much, much worse than having another unwanted child in our foster care system or in an unloving, broken home. Don't we have better things to worry about?

@VioletCrush1 Do you mind publishing your name so I can ensure I'm never under your medical care? Because the medical literature does not concur as to whether or not progesterone emergency contraception inhibits implantation. I would not like to be under the care of an ignorant ideologue such as yourself.

@MsMirrorMirror As a pre-med student who has studied the literature in depth and asked pharmacists to explain Plan B, it does in fact inhibit implantation because of the mechanisms of the drug. What she stated in the video is accurate since it works very similarly to Birth Control. It manipulates the hormones to thin the uterine lining, thus not allowing for implantation to occur which is preventing pregnancy. Simply reading a scientific article about it doesn't count as scientific research.

The FDA states that Plan B "may" inhibit implantation -- the literature from the FDA says "may" rather than "can" because whether or not this happens is yet unproven in the scientific and medical literature. Given Plan B's low efficacy rate, it most likely does NOT prevent implantation.

kudos to the person that yelled shut up at the end

@MsMirrorMirror I was amused at how this person refers to "the medical literature" as if it all concurs. What a load of crap.
