Wouldn't you have to remap the ECU if you had a bigger throttle body? It would be running rich otherwise. S'what a mate told me but I don't understand lol.

Your 48mm was not restricted, minimal gains from the 52mm. Just less chance of it sticking.

the rover 200's had smaller capacity engines to reduce power, i myself had a 1.1 8v
when the rover 25 came along the power was controlled by using a restricted 48mm throttle body for the lowest power 25's, where all ZR's had the unrestricted throttle body.
thank you and goodnight.

Who makes the 52 mm throttle body your using ? Or did you get it from the 160 model ?
-
MG ZR Throttle bodys were never restricted only some of the lower spec 25 had them fitted, but near the end the whole range had standerd ZR as ppl were just swapping them LOL :)

I did the same to mine. 52mm TB and K&N 57i Induction Kit. Makes for more fun driving and quicker too. Worth every penny. Especially once you get it over 3500rpm :-)

Only with 52 mm throttlebody?

nice :D
They where, the MK1 had the 48mm with a restrictor bolted on the flap.
The MG ZR 160 has the 52mm ;) and there 52mm was the standard always.
Perhaps you should do a little homework ;)
