i remember i was sick when i was little, very sick, and my dad got me a gameboy with this game, i was so stoked! I still love classics til this day and im 14! O.O I may be a girl but i LOVE videogames, these kind of games and how far theve gotten, and how many new games were made are all inspirations for me to be a video game desighner when i get older!

@YellowWiz are you kidding me? You must be a troll...

Wen I beat this game wen I was 4, I always liked the factory levels best cause of the music :)

DONKEY KONG COUNTRY 1 2 Y 3 FOREVER!!!!
-
@SirApathetic We still have both DKC and Super Mario World. I agree with you. DKC took more skill, like timing, when to jump and stuff. Especially the Mine Cart levels.
-
When I was a little kid playing this, I was always so scared when the lights turned off. I wanted to finish that level as fast as I could, but usually I just died and had to start all over....

I miss my childhood!

I always preferred this over Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario World when I had the SNES when I was younger. I still do! The DKC series was way more challenging and more demanding of your finger dexterity and timing skills than Super Mario games ever have on the SNES. It was always, "Got a problem in a Super Mario level? Take this 'P' wing or this feather that turns into a cape and fly to the end of the level!! GL, HF, BB!"
Donkey Kong was never broken and is the perfect game in my eyes.

I remember the '90s. Back when kids were publicly social. Back when the neighborhood streets were filled with kids playing happily. When you could ride your bike down to the store with 10 dollars and get bags full of awesome snacks. Where did the days go? They were here and then they just left. Simple things that were pet peeves to me back then, are now things that I miss because, despite being annoying, they were parts of my childhood.

Best track in the game, hands down. So ambient and well produced...

@getparanoia I feel privileged that I had this game as a kid, my parents bought what they thought where the best games, and they chose well.

Killer Instinct and Donkey Kong, my childhood games.

I need this on my ipod. It beats today's game music.

-
Im glad i grew up playing this compared to some of the generic shit today
-
I have been a fan of electronic music my whole life and I only realized it now

@MBurrow08 i Beat this game whenI was 5 after I got it with a super nintendo for christmas from santa, it was the happiest time of my entire life, so care free and it felt like the jungle, snow world and other zones in donkey kong were part of our world as we speak, this song gives me the feeling of how oil controls our world, how we need to change and realize that we are all part a dark world! we have to trust, love, and believe in one and other and we can create such an amazing life
-
@MBurrow08 You can go online on the wii and download this, you would just need to buy the classic controllers for the wii. My older sister did this haha we were playing DKC a few days ago. Brings back so many memories :-)

Thats what I did with my little cousin. I had him beat this game and most of the other nintendo classics when he was around 6,7. He's 9 now and even though he stills play the kiddie games on his 3DS he plays adult games to. Kid beat Assassins Creed Brotherhood by himself.
Best childhood ever
