"Mystery Science Theater 3000" alum, Kevin Murphy (a.k.a. Tom Servo), reads from his book, "A Year at the Movies" in Madison, WI (2002). Here he relates his travels down Route 66 to go to drive-ins. In it, he explains how Neil Young sounds like cats in heat.

  • if you shut your eyes you can imagine sevo doing this

  • is there anything kevin cant do? seriously...

  • Yeah but it also helps to have good movies too. Lately Hollywood has been releasing far too many sequels and remakes its ridiculous and oh yeah tons of comic book flicks that dont do justice to the comics (most of em anyways).

Theres a lack of creativity in Hollywood these days, but then again this is just my opinion. Id rather watch Hobgoblins lol

  • I saw Wall-E at a drive-in. Man THAT is the way to see it!

  • I would love to go to a drive in movie!

  • Amen!

  • they seem to be reviving it. The last couple of times I went to the theater they had a cartoon short play before the film.

  • I saw Dark Knight and I Am Legend at a drive-in.

  • I live in San Antonio TX and the last great marvel in this town was the Alamo Drive In on the outskirts of downtown. I remember going every weekend and watching triple features in the back of the family truck with a blanket or 2 thrown out in the truck bed and the old trecks across the parking lot for my snacks. Sadly about a year or 2 ago they closed it. Now its worn down, overgrown and tagged with grafitti up and down. Its as if a part of my inner child died when i found out it closed.

  • I just want to see quality movies make a comeback.
