The Myers brothers, starts of the History Channel's MADHOUSE, were on hand at Orange County with a strong following. Both drivers talked about exposure of the show and their new fan base.
I feel for you, bro...all of this progress has really got Winston-Salemers down. First they go and build a new ballpark that creates traffic jams on a street that most of you never drove on anyway...before you wanted a good excuse to bitch about it, that is. Then, one of them new-fangled cable networks start filming a TV series at Bowman Gray. Now people will be coming in from all over, patronizing businesses and spending money in the area. How the hell can we put a stop to this?!?
i watched a race at bmg in 1995. jr miller won that race. i was with some people from winston salem, and they said he was a jerk.. well after watching madhouse, he still is a jerk.. go burt, and jason..
Any exposure to local and regional racing really helps. Local racing needs more coverage. I cannot imagine how many people are going to be lined up at the gate at Bowman Gray this weekend. It makes me want to go up there to see a race, but I think its important to support your local track too. Theres characters like Jr Miller, The Myers Brothers and Chris Fleming at every local track. I might go to just a double points night or just go to the North-South Shootout.
Less Burt, more Jason! Bowman Gray's about 45 mins from where I live, we've been watching those guys race for years. Cannot wait for the season to start in a couple weeks! It's always pretty packed, but I'm anxious to see how many more people turn out after watching Madhouse.
