This is AMAZING! Babies are taught to flip over and float if they fall into a pool fully clothed. This would save tons of lives.

This video is for a new survival course for infants and todlers from YMCA. These courses have saved babies from drowning all over Florida. Every infant should take a course like this, especially if you have a pool.

  • Pple saying this is child abuse r truly ignorant people-babies drown everyday! Some die some don't.some are left with such horrific brain injuries that they are on ventilators, feeding pumps, etc bcause a mother ran out of the bathroom real quick 2 answer the phone,or they were at a party n every1 thought someone else had the baby only to discover a floating body NOT screaming.Doesn't mean they are bad parents but they just didn't think it would happen to them.Isn't that how most accidents happen?

  • Yes because teaching your child to swim is such a terrible idea....that's all they are doing. so the baby is uncomfortable for a few minutes. it's called learning. and yes to say you should be watching your kid is fine but parents are humans too and accidents do happen so it's better to be prepared for the worst while trying for the best.

  • Hmmmm watch a child float for 5mn which will not only show that yes my child has learned and can do this correctly, but it also teaches the child that help might not come right away! So if mommy or daddy aren't there in two minutes don't flip over and try to swim, or start panicking! That is also a vital point to learn! I would rather my child be taught safety and patience then sit at a funeral and say, "gee I don't know how this could have happened! We took the classes!' DUH!

  • Seems like a long time to leave the kid there. even if it's a learning experience, that's a lot of stress on a baby. they don't know when someone will come to get them. I'm sure he was smiling because someone came and saved him. good to know that thy can do this.

  • To get a point across? Or to teach the baby to survive? Did the baby look traumatised to you when the man picked him up?

  • So how would you make sure he can float for long enough that it would give people time to find him if he did fall in? Did it do the baby any harm to FLOAT on his back for 5 minutes? Wasn't he smiling and happy when the man picked him up at the end. Didn't look traumatised to me. Some of you are soft in the head, while falsely thinking that you are soft hearted.

  • That made me so sad

  • Spongebob was on when I was watching this, it was the music when Spongebob takes that jellyfish home, that music went with this hillariously!

  • Badass babys

  • I felt so helpless watching this....

  • Serious guys! Awful accidents happen each year with drowning of adults! The sad truth is it happens with babies and toddlers also , this is not a perfect world were all the sudden drowning of babies , adults, toddlers are going to stop, even if we watch our children all it takes is a split second! Are these bad people who deserve what they get because in the public eye they didn't watch their toddler close enough? I watched the video and while the baby did seem to be crying he was not screamin
