Yeah, parking lots are the best choice, especially if you live in a forested area. If it's a day before a hurricane this year, or during a weak hurricane, I'll probably go riding around there or a street. What kind of kite should I use for this kind of thing?

mate this looks wicked, I've got a couple of longboards, gotta get a kite and give it a go!! 3 metres yeah? don't even know what that means! I've flown stunt kites before and I been skating & snowboarding for a long time. hopefully I'll get on ok with it. ha ha! never seen anyone doing it over here. nice video dude

Do it it's a blast. 3 Meter just refers to the kite size. For skating foil kites work really well. You can pick up a trainer kite or small foil on Ebay pretty cheap. A slingshot B3 would be a great Kite to start with. Just wear your pads while you are getting it sorted out because you can generate a ton of speed very quickly. Good luck.
