the easiest thing to do is shoot them from afar with what ever form missile troops available. after that simply charge the remaining troops to mop them up. Its what they did in real life too.

@aditya8617 Agreed. IF you ever face an opponent who decides to use a lot of foot infantry, just go for a full blooded cavalry charge in two waves. First wave to break them, second wave to mop up. And one very handy way of foiling any rout by the enemy: Send a couple of units to their very end of their lines in back and wait. Once they rout, catch them as they run to you.

Those aren't pikes, they're halberds.
-
do you guys use your generals from the get co thats a very bad idea wait until all units are routed and then youll reap the benefits they still get stars
-
to be specific, normal spearmen can't stop a French charge. If they're armored enough, they might be able to repel them after shock of the charge.
-
In the game, you need best of the pikes to stop the cream of French heavy cavalry. Spearmen don't do the job at all.

lol when u said french knight vs pikes I was hoping for cavalry being turned into saté, but this battle was quite nice as well
