MOOkie Wilson was one of the most beloved Mets on the 1986, with an infectious smile and a knack for making a big play. He was the one at bat on that amazing 10th Inning in Game 6 of the 1986. While I am not old enough to have seen the 1986 Mets, I appreciate the team, and Mookie moreso than a lot of the other players. On August 19, 2006, Mookie receives a great ovation along with the chorus of "MOOs".
mookie was one of baseballs good guys on a team of BAD ASSES ! ! !

"The MOOK"!! Watching him run the bases (pre-Reyes) was exciting! He was a class act and played hard all the time.

He's a really great guy. I've had the chance to meet him a few times. He and my mom graduated together.
