Mediocre quality video (taken by iphone) of amazing (and hilarious) acoustic performance of "Do You Wanna Date My Avatar" by Felicia Day, Molly Lewis, Paul and Storm, Jeff Lewis (Vork), and Sandeep Parikh (Zaboo) at w00tstock (at Largo) in Los Angeles, CA. Oct. 21, 2009.
Search for other w00tstock videos, because the entire show was incredible! All of the performers and guest are incredibly talented and hilarious.
Considering this was w00tstock, and was mostly advertised via word of mouth, the internet, and twitter, I think it appropriate that I link to the performers on twitter:

who cares lol ... all the modern pop artists tune and pitch theyr voice and multiply it... basically kinda sucks if u hear em sing alone. Only MJ was the real deal ! R.I.P. MJ KING for ever
Felicia's voice is actually pretty good unplugged, and while auto-tune is usually seen as a horrible thing to use considering a singer's comparative popularity, it works to just further the joke of "(Do You Wanna) Date My Avatar" when you think about the premise of the song.
But yes, I do agree with you that Michael was one of the few people who would still pour his soul into his work instead of just manipulating it to ensure his own record sales.
Oh my god! I didn't know that was Felicia's real voice!!! Man...I love the guild.
I saw Felicia Day at Comic Con in San Diego last summer and almost had a seizure. Haha. My friend was all like, "Hey...she has awsome shoes." And I looked over and was like, "Hey yeah...OH MY GOD!" XDDD
