yes this is a mighty Channel One CuTT...back in the days jammy dint really go to channel one alot

That sounds like it has been bounced down from the 2 inch 16 where the track was laid in Channel One onto this 1/2 inch Tascam 8 track.He use to do that allot back in the mid 80,s.Dont be fooled if it was recorded in Channel One it was laid on the API board onto the 2 inch Ampex MM1200 like so many other rythem tracks from that time.

Wait, that's an 8-track 1/4". No wonder it sounds punchy dry and round. Not that... whatever camera you're using has an effect... ; ) Still, those decks have a particular color to their sound. I dig it.
