According to the Obama administration, the RIAA, and MPAA, the world economy is pretty much doomed if we don't start prosecuting pirates at home and abroad. Without such a crackdown, businesses will go bankrupt the coalition argues. Biden states, "Piracy hurts, it hurts our economy." The guys play scenario games and break down these piracy issues that are killing the economy every day. anti piracy is so stupid. people pirate stuff because they will never spend money on it so if they crack down on it they won't increase their profit by much. It isn't like normal theft because if i steel from a store they no longer have the product to sell but if i replicated that product I'm not taking it away they still have a product to sell. I too often buy things i pirated if i think they are good because the piracy serves as my own more accurate critic review.

Most theives will break into Tiffanys in order to sell the stuff they are stealing. When you download a movie or tv series or an album, you're not going to sell it for profit. Therein lies the difference.

In Romania, the same site I would make for an US guy it is several times cheaper for a romanian guy. So earnings are way smaller, way smaller. So spending 4000 SUD on Adobe products it's like you would spent 40 000 on them. So piracy in Romania is motivated by this huge numbers compared to our earnings. We also want to do great things but the tools ar 10 times more expensive for us.

Digital pirating does not feel like theft nor appear as theft to others from the soul fact that most pirateers do not have any intention of re-sale of the acquired media therefore the act is not done for personal profit.

your economy is fucked because its a pyramid scheme in every workplace, the shit you were supposed to change hasn't changed and this is your problem. The rich get gifted stuff for free and have all the money so your economy fails. There is no way you can expect the people your friends companies stand on to make all their money which then finance your campaigns of lies, not to take copies of the work. Noone is a bigger crook then those in government that will take kickback retirement cash.

First, I tend to believe that if I were to own toy story on VHS, and I would like it on DVD,I should have it in a new format for no cost; it would seem as if one should be allowed the option of turning in the VHS, or any other format for that matter, for a newer version of the same product.Second, is it not just mass sharing when an individual puts an album or some other media for others to download?Why is it not illegal to borrow a CD and upload it to my computer. If some enjoy it, they'll pay.
