Sony's cutting down the number of devices you can have your downloaded content activated on from 5 down to 2. In general, this means much less gamesharing. It's good for developers because they'll see an increase in profits. It's no surprise that they'd be making more money if less people were able to play their stuff for free.

I do feel bad for that small percentage of people who gameshare for legitimate reasons. Multiple console owners, specifically in the same home, will either have to constantly juggle their stuff on their PC, or buy additional copies of it.

What are your thoughts on this?

I heard about this and I can't help to think why they didn't do this a long time ago. From a business stand point, they lost a lot of money allowing people to share with five others. Maybe with that extra cash, they could have made the PSN network better. It doesn't effect me, because I only share with my sons' PS3. Agreed with what you said about the fanboy madness, I think it's run it's course and needs to end. Good shit Ruckus!

sad sad news. i used to gameshare so much back in the day. i have to pull one more big gameshare and then im done for good.

i gameshare on four systems. it sucks, but i understand (considering they're losing money). they said the games you buy before nov 18th you can still use up to 5 systems. as for ps3 exclusive DLC, they really have some great deals regardless. for Killzone 3, you can get like eight high quality maps for like $10! the uncharted 3 fortune hunters deal is pretty good as well (despite being prepurchase DLC).

but the industry is taking consumers for granted and it will Definitely get worse before it gets better. as long as people buy dlc developers and publishers will milk us for everylast dollar we have.
