  • @oddmusic do you know of any decent videos or anywere that has a decent tutorial on how to learn the tecnique of throat singing?

  • @musicman9901 Hey musicman, check out: khoomei (dot) com That is Steve's site (he's throat singing in the video) and has resources and online lessons, a forum for new and experienced throat singers, etc. -- John

  • no way is the guy singing and whistling at the same time?

  • @ShaolinPete Steve is "throat singing", so he's not whistling, he's singing the low notes and high whisle-like notes at the same time, by splitting different harmonics in his voice. Search for "throat singing", it's pretty amazing stuff.

  • yeah man tuva an old mongolian whistle throat singing ,,,,,,,,,i heard it in the mid ninetees when i was a trucker ,,,,,at 5 in the morning it gave me goos skin and i still love this music,,,,,,,,,,,heavy compliments to u the singer whos not a mongolian

  • @133maxiboy 'Sedaa', a rather modern group from czech I think remembering. They mix traditional elements like dual throat singing and an igil with a very fit Greek funk-style Cajon drummer. A very unique feel, and definetely a treat to listen to.
