Trio Qual pena in me gia desta... Parla? Chi sei? Scene 6, Act II.

In this scene, Elena and Uberto met again, and Uberto gave Elena a ring, telling her that if she needs help, this ring should be useful. The extract I posted begins where Uberto prepares to leave, but Rodrigo, Elena's betrothed, see them and hear what they're saying. Overwhelmed with rage and jealousy, Rodrigo orders his men to kill this stranger. Elena pleads with Rodrigo's men, and then Rodrigo determines to duel with Uberto himself. The two men exit, as Elena tries in vain to calm the situation.

  • Yay! This was fun. I <3 Rossini and Joyce. :D

I'm not familiar with this opera, so if it's not too much trouble, could you put a summary of the context of this part in the description? Thanks for posting. :)

  • @HM0880 I just added a description for this video ;-) You know, I first discovered the piece in Geneva, with Joyce, and damn, it is indeed an amazing opera, very worth listening to! I was in awe during the entire show, my mouth half open, all ears, all eyes...

Thanks! With this context in mind, I listened to it again, and it was even more enjoyable than the first listen. :) So you got to see the Geneva show LIVE??? Wow... I may be just a tiny bit jealous right now. :D
