On June 25 & 26, 2010 Uniden America Corporation introduced a brand new way of thinking about a scanner radio. Up to now, a customer would have to know something about the radio systems in his area. Was it conventional, trunking, digital or analog and much more. Now all he has to know is where he is and the scanner will do the rest. Watch as we attend the meeting for Uniden's distributors, their open house for the general public and then we show you just how easy it is to program the scanner.

  • Looks like a really great idea. But, I don't know why it costs $500+? The user interface technology is exactly the same at a satellite navigation system like a Garmin nuvi. It just has a different radio receiver on it than a nav system does. It doesn't seem like it should cost that much.

  • @icom1020 I'd buy it over some "icom" as your handle suggests. It looks pretty damn good to me, and I've been into scanning for nearly 40 years.

  • Why does one manufacturer have to follow the other one to the toilet? A DB which uses a zip code and submissions from ...somewhere. Why don't they just call it GIGO?

  • Uniden will sell millions of these.

  • aghh i cant wait till oct.!!!!

  • Nice scanner! A++++ Great video! A++++ Thanks Norm for posting this great video! A+++ 73's and best wishes to you! Marc N8COZ!
