@uckadalma If you want to bring late 80s house music into this, then let's talk about a little phenomenon called "Acid House," which is house music that isn't spawned from disco, but rather 80s electro. The current wave of music is descended from that branch of the tree that is "house music." A statement like "REAL house music" is bothersome because it implies that there is only one type of house music when in reality there are many subgenres.
