  • Thank you for the videos !! I'm considering the 522 or S&W's 15-22...I'm still torn... but have yet to "feel"either one... Your review was soild, thanks again for the quality review...

  • DeathlbyBoost, I was in the same boat as you about both but where I live, the Sig was available so I went with that. I'm planning on picking up a S&W M&P 15-22 in the future. Once I have some time with that one, I'm going to post a comparison between the two...

  • What Sig should have done was licensed another manufacturers red dot sight to come standard with the gun. But I do agree with the previous comments, just purchase a red dot before hand or the day you pick up the gun.

I like how there aren't any sights included. That way you can spend your money on some troy sights or some sort of fold down sights if you want to add a red dot or scope.

Great videos on the Sig522 though.

  • DemskeetSkeet...Totally agree about the sights...Like I mentioned in the vid, I knew there wasn't any included going in so it didn't bother me. Just wanted to make sure others are aware of it.

  • On the butt pad... Unscrew the screw then slide it down about half and inch or inch, then it will pull off, don't just pry it off. (Future owners) Also the spring that is in there I believe is for the adjustable stock lock. I have the SWAT version an I love it! Great Review. Thanks

  • I like the Red Tactical Place Mats

  • Leatherwood on "Optics Planet Site" makes a nice little red dot, low price for a 22lr. Leatherwood / Hi-Lux Optics 1x30mm Red Dot Tactical Sight about $78.

  • I have a MP 15 22 and i like it but i wouldnt recommend it because the first 1000 rounds the bullet blew up before it even chambered the round after 2000 more rounds it did it again but blew off my extractor and now i have to wait a month for it to come back, other wise the trigger very heavy get new one

  • The spring is for the lock for the stock. If spring missing the whole stock will come off. It is a stopper.....

  • Great review. I enjoyed it a lot. I'm not a macho tough guy but I do like guns and I really enjoyed your down to earth approach of this review.

  • Great review I bought the same rifle with 50 round black dog magazine looks cool and alot of fire power.

  • Oh yeah, totally agree with you that it's a little confusing. All of the pictures show that red dot with the Sig logo on it. It's a good thing you noticed that it didn't come with it before hand and thanks for pointing it out.

The main reason I do like it without sights is so you can purchase some nice troy built front and rear sights. My M&P15-22 came with some cheap peep sights/appeature. Since it came with them I don't really feel like spending money on some better ones, lol.
