  • it is and easy description of 3-9 cranial nerves. thanks.

  • who said oculomotor LOL

  • what is the first test that he did before the Binocular visual field test ????

  • OPTIC FOOLS oculomotor is for eye MOVEMENT

    MOTOR=MOVEMENT

  • Optic nerve

  • this is testing the optic nerve right? Or is it abducens and oculomotor?

  • Secondly. Presumably you're testing with amsler grid testing. Hunting for macular pathology/distortion.

    Wouldn't that just use up valuable time perhaps in a stressed/pressurised ER/A&E/Family Doctor/General Practice/10-15 minute consultation?

  • Very good.

    However. This would take forever to do.

    Do you seriously think you could do all of that in a busy ER/Casualty/Accident & Emergency job?

    Granated that this is only a screening test. And that if you spotted pathology you would move to either a Goldmann or Humphrey perimetry.

    But do you think students should at least know about red/white hat pins? For example spotting the enlarged blind spot of optic neuritics?

    A very good screen. But perhaps a bit too laborious for me.
