Speedflying Åre

Got a phonecall from a speedriding friend asking me if I could show some guys around in Åre and look for potential ground launch places. Well, we didn't find to much, but this run was exellent, and pure FUN.

I fly the yellow NiviuK Nooky11, and the red is a Nooky13.

Clint is American. A superb skydiver, also doing groundlaunch. Normally with a modified parachute. But he loved the Nooky. The glideangle just a little bit better than his chute, but the difference in takeoff behavior was huge.

Jag ska nog att inhandla en nano 14 eller 13 nästa vecka, väljer en större modell just för att kunna flyga lite på sommaren..

Jeg forhandler både Nooky og Nano, så jeg vet at du får et riktig bra produkt også ved kjøp av Nano.

På Nano kan du TRYGT kjøpe 14. Den tilsvarer ca Nooky13, og det er den størrelsen jeg flyr mest. 11 synker ofte litt for mye, og har mindre løft når man raskt vil bremse seg over et hinder. Kjøp ikke for liten, det vil du angre på, for bruksområdet blir mindre jo mindre skjermen er.

Men såklart gir min Nooky11 mer action enn 13.

Hvor skal du kjøre/fly?

ja det är sant mindre skärm mer race.. Näää jag har ju den förmånen att bo endast 10 mil från Åre där kommer jag att hänga mycket i vinter. Nanon har ju ett trimsystem som man kan kanske anpassa till sommaren respektive vintern..

Har ju en gammal rigg med en saber 170 liggande från fallskärms tiden men det är jävligt segt att groundlauncha den. Tänkte därför investera i en speedfly skärm denna vinter..

in 1987 I fucked my ex on top of this mountian while there was like 15 of these things with people looking down at us, lol she said stop, I said fuck them and just kept going, she works and married a guy from Are so i think she is still there, it was a real slice jenny. got ya sweetie. lol

u lucky man must be feel damm fun :) i live right in the border of europe and asia in a place called Ural. so we have a lot of hills and mountains here and it inspires me to start doing paraglide this way like speedflying. of course i don't claim on fast growth in this but i think this kind of JAM is mine :) wish u to fly as fast and fun as u want every time u think about it. may be some day u come here and get your part of our air. best regards ))

Nää.. Det finns ungefär endast 10 utövare utav "speedflying". Dock har fallskärmshopparna i norrland kört med skärm i backarna X antal år..
