There's a spring along the Nantahala Gorge near Andrews, NC that we stop at often. In late fall the water's so cold it will hurt your teeth, but extremely pure.

Growing up in Asheville... there were various pipes in different locations like this. My favorite was the one on my cross country training route in high school. There was another one that my mom would visit, with empty milk gallons in the trunk of the car, that she would fill up. I only know of one spring now. Development, ya know...I just drink out of streams anyway (if conditions are right), never got sick

I would've cleaned off the tip of that plastic pipe lol

Hi Kellybee82, do you know where in Franklin this spring is? Or what intersection they are referring to? I'd love to go visit the spring. Thanks,

I wonder if there's a chance of bugs/stuff in natural springs? hmmm i noticed theres a Lot in Cali if i move there, but fl has one big one far from me

I would be interested to know where can I get those big 5 gallons glass bottles or a half size of that at least?

I am not sure that rusty old pipe is where I'd like to drink my spring water from!

Forgive me Matt and Angela, but I thought 'spring' water would come from a spring? I'm not sure if it's really SAFE to drink something that's coming out of some pipe that's sticking out of God only knows where? And you say the pipe's plastic? Isn't that like the WORSE thing in the world???
I don't know about this one? Please advise.
Please be safe out there!!!

Awesome. I bet it took a long time to fill those up, but worth it. Maybe invest in one of those funnels on a long hose so you dont have to hold the jugs up?
I love being part of a community of people that get excited about things like this. The true treasures of life! Thank you for sharing this with us Matt and Angela!
