I'm not saying get rid of them entirely, I'm saying get rid of some of them, and change most of what's left to privatization.

Privatization works, Chile did it over 30 years ago. By Government mandate, they guarantee to their citizens that the Government would compensate anyone who didn't reach a minimum payout.

Not only has NO ONE in the country taken them up on it over the 30 years, on average they earned 2-3 times that minimum. We could be the same.

1. Yes, they did start it.

2. No. Special forces are still involved, but they aren't running the show. They aren't rebuilding the country, they aren't convincing farmers to grow crops instead of opium, they aren't providing security in troubled areas against the Taliban. They lead some of the attacks, help gather intel, but that's about it. They're not MPs, they're not civil engineers.

It may cost $2 Billion to maintain the entire fleet, I actually have a friend who does that down in Arizona, and quite honestly, if you want to downgade our involvement in global affairs, you want to keep maintaining them.

What you cut, is probably excess tankers (we have the biggest fleet in the world), and the aging B-52s (should have been retired in 1986). The B-2 is our ace no one wants to mess with.

@Alaskaslim There is something i like to call MAINTAINING PLANES, which is even more expensive. and the war in afghan was started by special forces and is still run by special forces. troops only do the sweeping missions, patrols, special forces are the ones who go for high value targets. My uncle is a ranger, trust me. Without the programs, we wont even have anyhting to bankrupt cuz the economy would have to collapsed. let the british, french, canadians, Us special forces do the work notmarines

@rodneytike the past three years, Obama didnt spend cept for obamacare which is only a couple billion dollars. Obama isn't the one who spends but the GOVERNMENT and congress, not obama. its a chain reaction, who cant do anything about it. its not in obama's hands so please shut up becuase you didnt even have any justification Its likeing falling off a cliff, u keep falling, just as a rescesssion, we need spending or else this entire economy will collapse Presidents dont spend dumbass retardican.

@Alaskaslim yes war is a big problem, obama lifted the iraq war, which really helped, i mean $2 billion for a single plane. thats where all the money is going to. its why US relies more on special forces who use less equipmetn and less men. Some programs are in need like SOCIAL SECURTIY WHICH REPUBLICANS WANTED TO STOP. And national healthcare is extremely necessary. Obamacare, which republlicans would have passed if they were in power (a similar bill). but we need it. its not a waste but vital!

Its not in Obama's hands other than to tell congress to stop spending.
