  • What is your preferred bran of watercolor and or brushes: Pallete Your skill speaks for itself

  • @bsonenthal1 I use winsor newton artist's paints and a few Holbein colors. I use Winsor Newton Series 7 watercolor brushes. Thanks again.

  • I have terry maddens brushes(only because of a closeout) but I find myself reaching for 4s or6s . ithink its a matter of what is comfortable and controllable. You ,for your experience must have an opinion on the use of the large brushes.

  • @bsonenthal1

The only large brushes I use are a couple wash brushes and a mop, all for paintings washes. Otherwise, the largest is about a 6 round. I mostly use 0 - 4 or 5 rounds. I think large brushes are great for people who paint large loose paintings.

  • Thank you for sharing this; its interesting how much "ground" you cover of large scale with a small brush. its refreshing since many are using big brushes to do the same work.

  • @bsonenthal1: Thanks! Some people think I'm nuts for using a small brush and doing all the tiny detail!
