Selling this card on eBay, decided to make a video of the problem instead of just pics for rambler-randy!

Also somehow youtube didn't realize my video was in widescreen format 16:9 and squeezed it to 4:3. Fail!

  • I had an X1650PRO break on my birthday not too long ago, I promptly introduced the card to my driveway, followed by the trash can:)

  • @GlycerinZ

haha. Im starting to think i could have fixed it by baking the card in the oven. or not. im trying not to care anymore as its been gone

  • you must be hard on graphics cards

  • @stydel311

I bought it broken in hopes of fixing it lol. when i first got it, it was missing peices and did not even power on.

  • You put in the wrong capacitors / inductor! What were you thinking not checking the microfarad and voltages on each component? Of course it will not work if you put the wrong ones! This video card would work fine if you only put in the correct components. It's not worth spend $8 for your video card because putting the right capacitors/inductor now is a guessing game and 9800pro can't even beat a low end card nowadays.

  • hmm now you're making me want to try again lol. Problem is I don't have anything to measure the values of the caps all I have is a multimeter. So the only ones I can check are the ones that have visible markings on them. I never thought much of the inductors though, you think if I put the correct inductors the picture would come out better? those I can figure out just by pictures of the card from review sites.

  • rofl, you're buying a broken video card? - Who will buy it anyway? - I had back in 2003 radeon 9800 pros and all of 3 burned out, reason these series of ATI cards suck, they overheat whole ATX case when they work

  • I have a ati 9800 pro 128MB (board by ATI)...from 2004 in my Athlon XP sys Im still running...works damn well still! Nice vid

  • Bake it for 3.5 hours at 300oC untill it is completely crispy, meanwhile sauté your motherboard in butter until it is nicely melted, then put them in the bin and buy some new stuff that was made this millennium! :)

  • hah

I bought the same one and I had the same problem its shit
