This button sounds a local alarm only in most cases and is monitored locally. I can not verify 100% but I am sure here that it is not connected to an alarm center. Even if this bell is monitored remotely as well, a quick "tap" like this is not going to send out the fire department. Give the guy a break, everybody presses buttons by accident sometimes.
