Last day of the search effort for Keith Kennedy, before driving away from the Trade River Camp in Burnett County, Wisconsin.

Kudos to all of the Emergency Responders, including Police, Highway Patrol, Firefighters, DNR Wardens, all of the great professionals that made this outcome happen! I really admire these men and women! You guys rock!

And the volunteers...great people, everyone I met. What an awesome experience! I hope for the best that Keith is going to fully recover.

I forgot to mention some of the special acts of kindness...special thanks to Russ and Deb for opening up their home in Grantsburg to provide showers and a place to stay for volunteers. Much appreciated. Thanks to those who donated, prepared, and served food to all of us hungry volunteers. Without those necessary calories, we couldn't have kept going. And, as an added bonus, the food was all delicious! Thanks to the bus drivers and the people who donated needed goods like dry socks. Then I particularly remember Mary and Dave, who greeted and checked in many a volunteer, reminding people to get hydration, nourishment, sunscreen, and "poison themselves" with large quantities of insect repellant! Their personable greeting and smiling faces encouraged me to keep going day after day!
