me and my family are friends with the lead singer peter. they used to follow the band when they were young then they all became friends. today was my cousins funerel and peter and another band member played. it was really nice

Fat is coming back!
Fat will be playing a gig in Springfield (Mass) at stearns square again this year...the date will be Thursday July 30th....this will be outdoors...and free.

Brilliant ! I'm English and in about 1981 I found the FAT debut LP in a second hand shop. I bought it on a whim and have forever loved it ! I was playing it tonite in a Northern English City ! And hence I did a search ! Brilliant cant believe it ! Still going ! I know that LP off by heart ! Do they have a website ! whens the English tour ! thanks for osting and that debut LP is so good !

Hi Noddy...Thank you for your nice comments. I believe Chris Newland (Peters brother) is presently living in England...so maybe the rest of the band will someday make their way there!
At the moment...Fat does not have a website...but I hear that Peter may be working on that.

Hey. do you remember Dave Mowry? A Springfield boy playing the blues at the "Pesky Sarpent" coffee house (1965-67) and later at the "Downtown" bar around "69-70--now lives in Philly and has a great duo with his son. They call themselves "Beaucoup Blues". Check Youtube---and book 'um at Theodores!

Hi Bob..no...I Don't remember them (in 1965...I was 7)..but I will check them out...thanks. I dont work for Theodores, but I am there very often, as they have the best blues in the area.

They manage to get at least one show in each summer....havent heard when yet.
