After his success with Chandni Bar, Page 3, and Fashion, Madhur Bhandarkar has made his next film on the reality of a jailers life, in Jail. He tells Zoom about the filming and how he tried to keep it true to the real image of life and true emotions. For him Jail is a reality check. It is basically the story of Parag Dixit (Neil Nitin Mukesh) who is a well-to-do manager in a company, has a beautiful girl in his life Mansi (Mugdha Godse) and is earning a healthy salary. But all goes wrong for him when his roommate Keshav is shot at during a police chase involving Parag too. Keshav was also secretly involved in drug trafficking, and Parag gets booked as an accomplice. Thus starts Parag's journey in the "big bad world" of prison, wherein he learns the ropes, while waiting for his case to be heard in court.
