  • Top Drawer! While watching this, I felt like getting up and following suit. The dancers were having a good time...lots of smiles.

  • I think it's called a set dance. In a circle, a sequence of figures is done. The figures, and the order of their doing, has to be memorized.

Social dancing Schottische is lead-follow, and may be as varied as the lead has tricks he can lead and she can follow.

  • Choreographed? they look like they are struggling a little to stay choreographed.

  • @schaduwgestalte I agree that this dancestyle is very choreographed, but I don't think choreographed dance is traditional. The „modern“ folk not choreograped version is the most traditional in my opinion.

  • This is schottisch, a kind of polka.

  • Scottische is the name of the dance, not of the music. Their dancestyle is really traditional and choreographed. I like the modern folk version of this dance much more. The interaction between the two dancers is much more pronounced than in such a choreographed version.

  • These folks haven't had enough beer yet...
