i picked up a 1350 and an 1100 this morning, both seem like a great fit for the axe. weird how so many lipo chargers come with dc input. i did have a pretty hard landing earlier and broke one of my blade grips, now i got all these charged batteries and cant use em, hopefully they will have the grip.

thanks for telling me, that seems about the right amount of time

Not a clue, however if past experience is any guide, I expect between 2 and 3 times as long as the stock pack. I would predict about 15 minutes with the lipo, as opposed to the 6 minute times on the nimh.

thanks for the comment i havent been flying very long but im getting better, the only other model i had was a walkera #22 but the electronics were bad so i thought getting one that is a little more $ would be better, next i plan on getting a heli-max mx450xl
That's great that you just plug your lipo and fly but what's what you have to look when you are buying a lipo battery for the Axe CP? does it have to be the same voltage than the stock Nimh battery from the axe?

no, lipos are a little different. you're looking for a 11.1volt, 3 cell pack.... i'd suggest something like a 1250mah pack i wouldnt go higher, as i've heard of people frying their axe electronics with 1350's and up

would you happen to know how long the optoinal electrifly lipo battery for the axe cp lasts

just an update, i borrowed a friend's LIPO battery he flys on his blade CP. it's a 3 cell 11.1v 1200mah, and it ran my axe for 12 minutes of solid flight time. between 12 and 14 minutes, power slowly dropped so i quit flying. also while on that pack, i successfully pulled it inverted and hovered today! it had plenty of power to climb out of it.

can i just switch my nimh battery for a lipo and not cause any damage?

short answer - yes. you can simply hook up a lipo to your heli and start flying. you however can NOT hook it up to your nimh charger. I honestly dont know what is the largest mah lipo the axe can handle. (maybe someone else can step up and answer this one?) I know tower/helimax suggests a 910mah which seems a little on the low side. I've been flying this 1200mah with no problem and i've heard of people running 1350mah packs on the axe.
