  • What did you think about Samarra ?

I kind of liked it more than I hated it.

  • It was a nasty and dangerous place when I was there.

  • The 278th offers just about any MOS you'd like. There are other benefits to staying in state as well. Talk to a recruiter from both sides.

  • Hey kjo37212, d'ya think the 278th will get to participate in this plan of action in afghanistan, that Obama is "promising"?

  • It appears likely. Time will tell.

  • Are you still in by any chance?

  • I retired in '06. I'm still in close contact with the Regiment, though. Why? Do you want to enlist?

  • I would remember that wall painting from anywhere.. called pb woodcock now adays.

  • Yes I want to enlist. I live in Chattanooga, but probably going GA guard(108th Armored gets deployed quite a bit). If I go TN guard, I'm going 31b or 13f, but thinking about either 19d or 11b if I go GA guard. Not sure yet. Just curious about the 278th.

  • Joe Sheridans Pub in Shannon Ireland, Ahhhhh Spent $50.00 there on Guinness in October 2005 on the freedom bird flight to Dix.

    Money well spent
