Silk Road Tour 8 - Xining - Abigail Washburn & The Village

At a concert at a high school in Xi'ning we had the chance to collaborate with a number of Tibetan kids who sang beautiful folk songs they had learned growing up as nomads on the Tibetan Plateau. We also visited the Kumbum monastery in the mountains outside Xi'ning. It is one of the most important monasteries in Tibetan Buddhism drawing pilgrims from far and wide.
