Early foggy morning arrival at Allahabad Junction: Amritsar- Sealdah Express on-board

2 hours late running 12380 Amritsar - Sealdah Superfast (Jalianwala Bagh/ W.B. Sampark Kranti) Express headed by 22565 Howrah shed WAP-4E crawls its way through the (in)famous North-India fog and makes its way into the platform of Allahabad Junction to give an unscheduled halt there. On the other platform, bang on time running 12276 New Delhi-Allahabad Junction Duronto Express headed by 30284 Ghaziabad shed WAP-7 was standing behind a stationary BOXN rake headed by a WAG-7 of Asansol shed (28114).. The city of Allahabad is the headquarters of the North Central Railway Zone, and is well connected by trains with all major cities, namely, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Lucknow, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack Bangalore and Jaipur. Allahabad has eight railway stations within its city limits namely Prayag, Allahabad City (Rambagh), Daraganj, Allahabad Junction, Naini Jn, Prayag Ghat, Subedar Ganj & Bamrauli.

@vb642 Yes!!! I would have loved to see our train skip Allahabad for the second time in the journey (while going to Delhi, our Howrah- New Delhi Duronto skipped the station at midnight around 1:40).. But due to the unscheduled halt, I got something very exciting (I would share the same sometime later). And I didnt know that Allahabad- Varanasi was a unigauge section.. Too bad that its a thing of past now..

Very nice arrival video! I am sure you would have loved to see your train skip the station, right? Your mention of Allahabad City brings back pleasant memories of my MG trips between Varanasi and Allahabad City, which used to be an MG terminus.
