Midnight balloon drop and a performance by Butthole Surfers of their song, "I Saw an X-Ray of a Girl Passing Gas," live at The Fillmore on New Year's 2008. Made with a Canon PowerShot still camera, so it's kind of fuzzy, but still fun to watch.

  • So... you're telling me that Negativland and the Buttholes played live, together, on New Years Eve? How awesome was that?!

Sometimes living in Scotland really sucks!

  • I'd like to breath my last breath at a Butthole Surfers show. Or, Ministry, or NIN, or Iggy, all a great way to go. Could be worse.

  • Very nice. I was at both shows as well as the ones in NYC and had a blast. Been seeing them every tour since my first time right here in Morgantown, WV in 1985. Can't wait for the tour this fall! I'll def. be at least at baltimore and Philly! Cheers to my fellow BUTTHEADS!

  • Either I am old and they are or something, they look way mellow compared to the old days.

  • I saw a guy have a seizure at one of their shows in the 80's, it must be common for their shows.

  • i was standing next to that guy also, he put his fist into the air in excitement and then fell to the ground and i tried to help him up then i realized he was seizuring and then i found a new place to stand. kick ass show

  • I was wondering what the commotion was. I was standing a little further to the left but saw the whole in the crowd and the entire room was looking in that direction instead of the stage. I thought it might have been a stabbing or fight or something. Glad to know it was only a seizure, i guess that light show could induce one, it made me hallucinate (or was that the acid?)

Seriously though, best show I've ever been to!

  • Baloons!

  • BTW, those ballons annoyed me.

  • Some guy had a seizure right in front of me right at the very end of the show! The stage was covered in fog and I think the band had all left the stage but Gibby, who was fiddling with his knobs, feedback loops, etc. Everyone stood around in a circle and the staff just stood there with puzzled looks on their faces for like 5 minutes until the show ended. Luckily, the guys girlfriend was there and knew what to do. Bummer of a way to start the new year.
