The Malling Bio Cinema

A Tour of one of Denmark's smallest 70mm Equipped Cinemas.

This is Two Screen Independent Cinema based in a small Village of Malling, this Cinema features a pair of the Philips DP70 35/70mm Projectors in Screen One and were installed in the 1970's and is Owned/Managed/Operated by Per Hauberg.

I belive their last 70mm shown was in the 1990's.

One day they may screen something in 70mm when they are able to book and locate from a Film Distributor in Denmark.

Hi Ben -

Nice to see Your result of the visit to "The Smallest Show in Earth".

I can confirm last 70mm prints to run here (so far) were the restored "Spartacus" and reissues on "Hook" and "Out of Africa" - beeing the only ones left in 1999. Since then, 70mm has been only for those, able to finance a now and then wide-film festival. With only 88 seats to sell, I can't even afford the Air Freight to have a print send over from England or USA.
