@Tamworth007 To address your question about George Strait and his membership in the Opry, I've heard many rumors but the one that sounds the most reasonable is that he wouldn't commit to enough performances at the Opry to justify making him a member, not that he isn't talented enough but that he wasn't interested enough in being a member. He is the "King of Country" and even though I don't like his style, I believe he deserves every award he wins in Country Music, even induction into the Opry.

@Tamworth007 You say Carrie is a "Lucky Girl" and I say she's an "Extremely Talented and Hard Working Girl". Alan Jackson was inducted into the Opry 4 years after releasing his 1st album and he had only won 1 ACM award when he was inducted. Carrie, on the other hand, was inducted 3 years after releasing her 1st album and she had already won 5 CMA Awards and 6 ACM Awards before being inducted. Not to mention all the Billboard, CMT, AMA and Grammy awards she had won before being inducted... : )
