In this video I describe how to build, simply, an HD antenna for over the air broadcast signals. I spent $1.66 for hangers, $1 for aluminum foil, $4.96 for the tv transformers, and $2.16 for the board. For the wire, I used an older led halloween light wire set set that I cut apart. You probably have a lot of these materials laying around the house, so total cost should be around or less than $10.
When I was finished, I had a signal strength of between 50 - 84 at the highest and between 3 - 32 at the lowest, and a great number of new channels available to me.

I am still using this antenna 9 months down the road. It has served me well, although it has had some limitations depending on weather or severe atmospheric disturbances, and tv stations reducing signal power during the summertime. I believe some of the reception issues have been due to it's small size. In the future I will explore doubling it's width size and the possibility of mounting it on a swivel device.
