My reaction exactly--it must've been awkward to dub the Spanish alphabet into the tune used for the English one. I know of some other European languages that use more/fewer letters: Italian officially has 21, reserving JKWXY for foreign words only. If Sesame Street ever got produced/dubbed over there, they'd NEED another tune for alphabet sketches!
Well, this is the very first time I've ever heard an alphabet song in Spanish. But I always thought, since the Spanish alphabet traditionally has a few more letters (ch, ll, n with a tilde, rr), that it might be sung to a different tune.
