International Wolf Center 26 January 2012

I will be out of town on Friday, so I thought I would post this Youtube today. We have some continued testing and chasing behavior in the Exhibit Pack, which is usually short-lived and stimulated by the excitement of wolf care. Most of the day is spent resting in the straw beds. A recent snowfall left some ice balls on Grizzer's pads and this video shows the process for removing those ice balls. Shadow and Malik have had less posturing, and as January continues into February, we expect to see even less tension. This clip has a good howling from Grizzer and some short howls from Shadow.

How lovely to see Grizzer submitting to have the ice balls removed. My Siberian husky would not even let me touch his feet or his tail. (His status symbols I guess ha ha.)
