In this music lesson, ComposerOnline demonstrates how to modulate to closely related keys (i.e. keys with only one sharp or flat difference in the Key Signature). This technique allows a composition to break away from the relative monotony of a single tonal center.

  • gr8 video. how about modulating into parallel keys such as C major to C minor ?

  • A minor is the parallel key of C major, so there are NO sharps or flats in the key signature. Oops...!

  • This is going to help a lot... I have made things with key changes before, but I never established a concrete procedure. Thanks! :)

  • Thanks man! Really helpful.

  • sweet man! thanks

  • Thanks for the explanations, i'd adore more videos in this style.

    Best regards!
