lightning like this is seen all the time , it is usually seen better above the clouds in an airplane . Even more fascinating is the lightning that shoots up out of the ground and into the sky !!! it can go up for miles , leaving the ionsphere , and has been recrded several times by nasa completley leaving earths atmosphere , thats right ! from earth to space ...... very fascinating stuff indeed !

@FanOfChiTownBears a strong gravitational force could explain that. at about 1:22 you can see the lighting go in a half circle like it is going around something. it does this several times. that is very strange...
