Jason's Zorb Experience

The ZORB!!! Yep! I got a chance to ride inside the famous zorb of New Zealand last September 2, 2006. For a fee of $60 NZ, it's really FUN!!! This happened in the Agrodome of Rotorua. You are actually put inside a clear, double-layered plastic sphere and pushed down a steep hill to tumble down. To prevent from getting abrasions inside the zorb, a bucket of water (hot water during the winter, and cold water in the summer)is put inside so that you would slide within the ball while the zorb is rolling. It was absolutely insane and chaotic inside the thing as I was being constantly thrown around the zorb. I would want to try this again. It's very unfortunate there are no other zorbs outside New Zealand. :-(

In the UK, there are a few private sellers of zorbs and hydro-zorbs (for use on water), only drawback is that they sell them for £500-1000. I think not.
