@SNESFanboy64 I think you mean as time goes on the cost of minting and printing currency goes up which in turn causes the cost of retail goods to increase as well. That's true, and in a way it's a bad analogy to compare a modern Xbox 360 disc to a 2nd generation console. He should have held up a SNES cartridge which retail was 75 to better convey his point. I think he just noticed the two items and didn't think of cost differences, he's in error but I don't think it was intentional.
@trans8010 I am not saying it's not possible. I am saying that the currency of money back then is slightly more because... well you know. Like how a burger in the 50's was 5 cents. Meaning if it was 49.99, the equivalency would cost more. But this guy thinks that the money currency over the years have always been the same. The COD game back in '93 would have been 19.99.
@SNESFanboy64 Once again another irrelevant response to the point you are trying to make. You are trying to argue that in 1993 it was near impossible for the average joe to go out and buy a 2nd edition of the NES, because the cost of such a console, when compared to the 199.99 price point of it's successor this is mere peanuts.
@SNESFanboy64 What are you talking about? You're talking as if this console was released in the 1950's. 49.99 for that console was cheaper than a Power Rangers: Titanus toy that was 59.99 at the KB toys purchased from and that was a motorized toy! Also why bring up a McDonald's hamburger price from the 50's, it's irrelevant, if anything you should use the year in question. In 93 a cheeseburger was $.69, compare that to today's $1.00 but that's only $.31 in difference, and isn't worth mentioning.
Hey Norm, this MAY sound stalkerish but do you live in or near the Upper Peninsula of Michigan? That Gamestop looks like the one thats in the city I live in.
My aunt has one of these in a odd case with 10 games, bomberman 2 and felix the cat were 2 of them which are rare. She almost never uses it so one day i hope its mine
@trans8010 Yes. Exactly.

@trans8010 If it was released in the 1950's it would have cost over $600.
