Here's the Michigan Department of Transportation's new recruitment video for the Adopt-A-Highway program, which began in 1990. Three times a year, volunteers clean up a minimum of two miles of highway. No fee involved. MDOT provides safety vests, trash bags and disposes of the trash afterwards. Nearly 2,600 groups currently participate. To join, go to www.michigan.gov/adoptahighway.
