I wish I could have seen her live in her prime. A time machine, please, a time machine!!!! There is something about listening and watching live that is so much more special than listening to a recording ... but when that is what you have, that is what you appreciate. What a fantastic gift to hear her!

Caballe in her absolute prime, at her best. Doesn't get better than this. Astounding singing, legendary.

Being Catalan, Caballe had special interest in singing a character who was Queen of Spain for even a very short time. I was at this performance at the Met those many years ago,
and it was a true show-stopper!
